Panel Latinas in Law highlights career paths of triumphant Latina women
Panel Latinas in Law (Latin Women in Law) took place via Zoom on Monday, October 11th, where three accomplished Latina lawyers were invited to share their career journeys and offer advice to aspiring lawyers. The event was organized by the Latina Law Student Association at the Suffolk University Law School.
The panel included three prominent Latinas in the legal field: Belkis Woiczik, a partner at Barclay Damon LLP; Laura Monteiro, an associate at Prince Lobel; and Karla Bravo, a partner at Holland & Knight LLP.
During the discussion, the panelists shared their personal experiences and challenges they faced as Latina women in the legal profession. They emphasized the importance of mentorship and networking in advancing one’s career. They also encouraged aspiring lawyers to be confident in their abilities and to not be afraid to speak up and advocate for themselves.
The event was well-received by the attendees, who found the insights and advice shared by the panelists to be valuable and inspiring. The Latina Law Student Association plans to host more events like this in the future to continue highlighting the achievements of Latina women in the legal field.
