Radio City College Show “Synthin’ Thru San Diego” explores 80s classic styles
Student DJs at San Diego City College have launched a new radio show called “Synthin’ Thru San Diego,” which highlights the music and styles of the 1980s.
The show, which airs on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. on City College Radio, features hit songs from the era, as well as interviews with local artists and musicians who were influenced by the music of the 80s.
According to one of the student DJs, the goal of the show is to introduce a new generation to the music of the 80s and to explore the impact it had on pop culture.
Listeners have been tuning in from across San Diego to hear the sounds of iconic bands like Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, and The Cure, as well as lesser-known artists who made waves in the 80s music scene.
