The competition invites students from across the country to submit their own design for Google’s logo, fitting with the year’s theme. This year’s theme is “I care for the world by…”

Ethan, a student at Hyde Park Middle School, stood out with his design which features the Las Vegas Strip with various landmarks and symbols representing the state of Nevada.

“I’m so excited to represent my state in this competition,” said Ethan. “I love art and being able to combine that with showcasing my home state is a dream come true.”

Ethan’s artwork will be judged against submissions from other states, with the winning design being featured on Google’s homepage for a day.
